Andri Obrist's practice focuses primarily on private and public construction law. He advises and represents companies, institutions and private individuals throughout all phases of a construction project — from planning, contract drafting and construction execution to acceptance, defect remediation and the enforcement of claims.

In private construction law, Andri Obrist assists building owners, contractors, planners and other parties involved in construction projects with the drafting and review of work contracts, planning agreements, general contractor and total contractor agreements, as well as with matters relating to SIA standards, contract variations, construction delays, building defects, notices of defects, builders’ liens and liability issues. He represents his clients both in an advisory capacity and in litigation.

In public construction law, he supports clients in building permit procedures, objections, neighbour disputes, zoning and planning matters, as well as in dealings with public authorities.

As a certified mediator of the Swiss Bar Association, Andri Obrist is also active in construction mediation. He assists parties in resolving construction disputes in a structured and efficient manner, wherever possible without lengthy court proceedings.

In addition, Andri Obrist advises SMEs on general business law matters. Thanks to his many years of experience as in-house counsel, he and his team are able to cover the legal needs of their clients comprehensively, pragmatically and efficiently. At the interface between civil and criminal law, he also represents injured parties in white-collar crime cases and enforces their civil claims.
