Gabriel Nigon

Lawyer, Partner

Born in Basel in 1956, father of two
Studied law at the University of Basel (licentiate of both laws)
Admitted to the bar in 1989

Gabriel Nigon was a top-level athlete and, prior to practising independently, worked in the pharmaceutical industry, for the Basel-Stadt tax authority and in commercial law firms in Basel and Geneva. He founded the law firm at its offices on Marktplatz on 1 May 1998.

While establishing the firm he also served as sports director of the Swiss Fencing Federation up until the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Gabriel Nigon and his team work closely with clients to define and achieve objectives, whether through contract negotiations or in court. He is supported in this by his employees.
For Gabriel Nigon, it is not only legal expertise that is decisive in handling complex situations. Economic and psychological aspects are often crucial, and the importance of choosing the right tactics should not be underestimated.

For example, perseverance or unconventional measures may be needed to overcome challenging situations. This approach has helped Gabriel Nigon achieve excellent results, particularly in real estate, inheritance, procedural and sports law.

Gabriel Nigon's clients also benefit from his language skills – his mother tongue is French and he has also worked in English for many years.
